“I’m gonna show you how great I am!”
Sometimes it is easy to fall into ruts or periods of mediocrity. This can apply to all kinds of things. Life in general, work, attitude, working out, etc. I think all of our members are great and have even more untapped greatness within them just by the fact that all of you have chosen to be a part of a Crossfit gym. Not everyone is able to do that. Some just don’t want to work that hard or that intensely. And on some days, maybe after a few hundred meters of lunges, you may question why you do this stuff, too. I think to some degree it is because you desire greatness. Usually achieving greatness in anything is a very difficult task. So it makes sense that the greatness in health and fitness that one can potentially reach can only come from the brutally difficult workouts that many of you show up to and grind your way through daily. However, as I previously mentioned, ruts and mediocrity happen. I recently had a day of training that just wasn’t very great. My head was some place else, and my effort was pretty lackluster. Afterwards and for most of the next day, I was very bothered by it. I had squandered an opportunity to be great. To work hard and be focused and show I great I can be. And because of this I want to caution all of you to not just “show up” to the gym. Do not come in and merely go through the motions. Arrive with a purpose!!! Be your best, give your best, show the greatness within you!!!
