The Ultimate Diet
Since I brought my puppy Angus home 3 months ago I have been searching for the best dog food I could find for him as I want him to be a healthy pup and grow into a healthy adult dog. I found several good websites with reviews on different dog foods, the http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/ and the http://www.whole-dog-journal.com/topics/dog_food.html are two websites that I found to be very informative. I ended up on settling for Blue Buffalo Wilderness as it seemed to be high quality dog food with high protein and no grains, etc. While doing this research I came across an article about raw food diets for dogs and cats.
The more I learned the more it just made sense. Even the top quality dog foods at a pet store are filled with things you can’t pronounce or just don’t seem natural. I know I would not want to eat some of these things so why would I feed it to my dog. I bought this book called Natural Nutrition for Dogs and Cats and recently started two of my dogs on a raw food diet, the video shows you how much Angus enjoys it, plus it’s a lot of work to munch down a whole chicken, bones and all.
I would highly recommend this book for anyone who wants a healthier and happier cat or dog. I am really excited about this too for my dog Frank, he’s a few pounds overweight, I think putting him on a natural diet will really help him become leaner and healthier. Stay tuned. in 6 months I will post his before and after pictures.
