Get Back on the Horse!
The last 9 days or so have been this crazy, non stop whirlwind that had me in Arizona and then South Lake Tahoe on consecutive days. My sleep consisted of 3 hours one night, 4 the next, and then 5 the third. My days were full of MC’ing Barbells for boobs, early morning airports, all day competitions in the AZ sun, 14 hour car rides, and trying to get an infant to nap while on a boat. Through all of it, my diet and exercise program was not ideal. At one point I crushed about $20 of Taco Bell in the parking lot. You should have seen the damage I did to the casino buffet. My exercise consisted of a game of weightlifting “HORSE” with no warm up, back squats with Worlds Strongest Man Champion, positional demonstration with a broomstick for a 2 times CF Games competitor, and 245 lbs 5 rep back squats at 1 am (with zero warm up reps) immediately after a 14 hour car ride. As you can imagine, I am currently not the model of health.
What I am finding is that I am craving unhealthy foods. Since I have been eating whatever I rummage up, I find myself leaning towards less healthy options. The only way to right this listing ship is to get back on track. There’s not easing my way back in. Stict nutrition, and no more missed workouts. Everyone has a stretch of busy time where it’s easy to get off track, the only way to get back is to commit to it.
Have you been struggling to get your workouts in or eat healthy? Commit to it and make it happen. There are no excuses not to other than a lack of will power. Make a commitment an stick to it.
